And Now for Something Completely Different

As you know, if you know me at all, I am NOT a Christian. But last night I had an experience that completely turned me around.

I had a vision. A dream? Not sure. But I heard the voice of God telling me that when I woke up I would be richer than when I went to sleep. It was so real, and the message was crystal clear.

This morning I got up singing Amazing Grace and set about doing my daily chores. As always, I quickly searched my jeans and shirt pockets before tossing them in the washer. Lo and behold, I found a nickel in my jeans. I realized at that moment that God is real, and that I was put here to serve Him. This time it was only a nickel, but God was just breaking me in gently. Next time, who knows?

Praise the Lord!

Oh, and by the way. Happy November Fools' Day. Had you going there, didn't I?

My delusion is that I have a better delusion than your delusion.

Well, I would certainly hope so.

No. I know you. I was hoping you had seen the light. I hope you will before the end comes. I know you do not believe in Christ but do you believe in a creator God? Just wishful thinking? Just pie in the sky br and by? Or is it just a set of mathematical laws. But artificial intelligence is built around mathematics, yet it can become super intelligence. Self propetuating intelligence. and at some point real intelligence that can plan and create. and can even see all the possibilities that lie ahead. And add it all up and know what will happen and when?

I don’t know about a creator God. I don’t care. Speculation and preaching is a waste of time. What I do know with 100 percent certainty is this: whatever, whoever, wherever, whyever God is, he/she/it is most certainly NOT the Christian God. That God, even though completely imaginary, is loathsome and despicable and evil. Christians would know that if they read the Bible. Christians could see that if they weren’t blind.

I suspect that you confuse the Hebrews vision of God along with the Christian God. They cannot be the same unless God evolves.

It’s not me who confuses them. It’s Christians. Fundagelicals, especially.

            Very true, IMHO.

So, how do you sort it out?

Well, a nickel more is a nickel more than before.
