Unless they committed the crimes because of their Christianity, their religion is not really relevant.

Yes it is, because Christians keep telling us that Christianity makes people more moral. Having Jesus in your heart supposedly makes one a better, more loving, caring, kind, generous person. Obviously, it does not.

Christianity doesn’t make people more moral. But individual acts do not prove that point. The logical way to make the point is by looking at Christian doctrine and demonstrating its immorality. What you are doing in the OP is a logical fallacy: one which, ironically, is often used by Christians to “prove” that atheism is immoral.

Individual acts serve as strong evidence of my point. Dealing with doctrine is fine, but that isn’t the only way, or even necessarily the best way, to make my point. There is no logical fallacy.

It is a clear logical fallacy because you are arguing that Christianity is the cause without having presented evidence to show that Christianity is the cause. To make your point logically you would have to show that they committed the crimes because of their Christianity.

Wrong. I am not making any such claim. I’m simply saying that things don’t work the way Christians claim they do, and here are several examples in support of my point.

Enough individual examples would prove the point. But I’m not claiming I have proved anything. I’m saying this is evidence in support of my point.
